Training Oppurtunities

The CAB service is primarily a volunteer service. If you would like to learn new skills or use those you already have to become a skilled adviser and you are over 18yrs, why not come and volunteer with us? No qualifications or experience is necessary as a full and comprehensive training package is ongoing throughout the year. Our training offers the opportunity to gain excellent experience and recognised qualifications.

Our next training schedule is due to start at the end of October 2011. Come along and see for yourself, you may have potential you did not know you had. All travel expenses will be reimbursed. Advice work with the CAB involves interviewing clients, exploring the clients’ problems, using the information system to give up-to-date advice and offering practical help, such as filling in forms and making calls on behalf of the clients. Trained and suitably experienced advisers also have the opportunity to do further specialised training in areas such as Money Advice, Benefit Tribunal Representation and Employment Tribunal Representation. If you are interested in training to be a volunteer adviser with Airdrie Citizens Advice Bureau, contact us at the address or telephone number above or Email: elainetocock@airdriecab.casonline.org.uk
